Garlic Bread.




INGREDIENTS: Makes 4 slices

  • 1 baguette
  • 1/4 lb butter
  • 2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Juice from half a lemon

Now Cook:

1. Place the butter in a pan and melt.

2. Mince the garlic with a garlic press. Add the garlic, cayenne and salt.

3. Cook until butter is frothy. Add the lemon juice.

4. Let cool.

5. Slice the baguette lengthwise in half and smear the butter on each side. Put back together and wrap in aluminum foil.

6. Heat the oven to 350F and place the baguette in the oven for 20 minutes.

7. Open the aluminum, spread open the baguette and cook for another 3-5 minutes till crispy. Cut and serve.



Hint: The butter can be made in advance and kept in the refrigerator. Goes well with Superbowl Chili.
